Practical Knowledge To Improve Business
Open exclusively to our Peak Advantage Program members, JM Roofing Institute courses are designed to provide practical experience that will enhance day-to-day operations. We provide hands-on experience to improve roofing installation techniques and good work practices. Classroom sessions extend beyond installation procedures to address business issues such as improving productivity.

2013 Workshop Schedule
A State-of-the-Art Training Facility
JM has expanded its training program by constructing a 7,500 square foot training center at the Rockdale, IL facility. The training center includes:
- A large (70 foot x 30 foot) training deck for material and system installation
- Numerous detail decks with a variety of penetrations for flashing detail installations
- All the required installation tools and equipment
- Conference room set up for classroom curriculum consisting of presentation lectures and video learning
On-The-Road Training
JM is pleased to announce On-The-Road Training at our manufacturing facilities located in Scottsboro, Alabama and Milan, Ohio. We will be offering 1-day workshops featuring hands-on training along with a tour of these state-of-the-art plants. Classes are highly recommended for superintendents and crew leaders. The curriculum can easily be brought back to the office and is delivered in a "train-the-trainer" format.
BURSI®
Under the umbrella of the JM Roofing Institute™, the Better Understanding of Roofing Systems Institute (BURSI®) educates architects, consultants, roofing contractors and building owners on the latest roofing system materials, technology and design. In over 35 years of operation, more than 60,000 roofing professionals have been taught using the BURSI curriculum.
The Johns Manville Roofing Institute focuses on the continued education of roofing contractors, architects, and building owners in an effort to construct the most energy efficient, durable and healthy buildings possible.
